Summary
Staff described long-range facility needs and said the facility committee is exploring a roughly $4.5 million bond levy that, with state matching funds, could yield about $9 million to address boilers, locker rooms and other capital repairs; long-range needs were previously estimated over $60 million.

Staff outlined extensive facility needs and said the facility committee is evaluating bond and matching strategies. "Could we get the community to support a bond levy for maybe $4,500,000, get matching funds from the state so we could have $9,000,000 to really repair heating systems and remodel old parts of our facility," the staff presenter said while summarizing options under consideration.
The presenter noted that long-range facility planning had previously identified more than $60 million in capital needs; the committee discussed pacing projects, potential match opportunities and whether to pursue a bond to address urgent repairs versus phased improvements.
