Resident asks CDD to investigate dead tree at Rolling Hills Loop wetland

A Heritage Pines resident reported a dead tree at 18906 Rolling Hills Loop and asked the board about wetland cleanup; the chair said Environmental Solutions would clean the perimeter but "nothing larger than 5" in diameter can be removed" without engineer approval and the District Engineer will investigate.
Resident Tom Martin raised a question during public comment on Feb. 18 about the district's plans for Rolling Hills Loop, and said a dead tree near his property at 18906 Rolling Hills Loop has been present for two or three years and is an eyesore.
Chair Kathleen Lonergan responded that part of the natural wetland is being cleaned and that the District Engineer coordinated with Environmental Solutions to clean the perimeter "as far as they can enter it; nothing larger than 5" in diameter can be removed." She said crews do not cut back trees and bushes that are inside the wetland without the engineer's determination.
Mr. Martin asked for the exact location of the dead tree so the engineer can investigate; Lonergan directed staff to follow up with Grounds Superintendent Tim Gatz to evaluate the site and report back.
