"We just paid, 12,500, the association did, to redo Elm Grove...the field needs another $12,000 because the weeds, the growth, everything, it's just not being maintained," Kasinski said.
Council and staff discussed whether the parks & rec department or volunteer associations were responsible for ongoing maintenance. Staff (Mister Lauer) said he would talk to the parks & rec director and follow up with Kasinski by phone the next day; council asked Kasinski to leave a phone number on the sign-in sheet for a staff return call. The exchange highlighted reliance on volunteers for field care and potential budget or staffing gaps for seasonal maintenance.
