The Rogue River School District 35 board opened its meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and administered oaths of office to newly elected directors, who repeated the customary pledge to support the constitutions of the United States and Oregon and to abide by district policies. The chair led the oath-reading and congratulated each newly sworn member.
The board then moved to elect officers. Nominations for chair and vice chair were taken and the slate was approved without extended discussion. "I will faithfully and impartially discharge the responsibilities of the office of the school director," the oath recited in full during the swearing-in. Board members also approved the consent agenda and several routine administrative motions later in the meeting.
