The Rogue River School District 35 board on a series of motions approved new hires and extra-duty agreements during its regular meeting.
Speaker 3 moved to hire Evan Petritches as an agricultural teacher at Rutherford High School; Speaker 4 seconded and the motion passed after a roll call. One board member recused, saying “as it's my grandson,” before the remaining members voted yes. The board then approved the hire of London Alice for a high-school math position and Anna Wu as a language arts teacher at Rogue River High School; each motion was seconded and passed by roll call.
The board also approved a senior class adviser MOA and an updated extra-duty schedule (MOA/SOBC/RREA/RRSD) at level 7. Motions to adopt a library technician job description and other personnel-related items likewise carried. Each motion was taken individually and recorded as passed.
