On facilities and capital support, the superintendent announced the district has been awarded a $2,500,000 seismic grant for the junior-senior high gym but cautioned the work is at an early stage: the district will engage CCS Engineering and a consultant to verify whether the grant sum will cover necessary work. The superintendent also listed philanthropic support to help launch a student-based health center: "$40,000 to go towards the district's contribution to the 2 year operating costs," plus an earlier $100,000 (transcript: 'Jackson Carrick') and $15,000 from the Ford Family Foundation, and said additional grant applications are pending.
