The presenter said the district heard student voices 308 times, engaged classified and certified staff 127 times and engaged parents, family and guardians 286 times while shaping the plan. The presentation grouped proposed outcomes into three areas: early literacy (Kthrough3), increasing studentssense of safety and belonging, and improving academic outcomes and access to a well-rounded education. The presenter said, "I have a final draft plan for us to review today, and we can seek board approval," and later noted the district experienced a $10,000 reduction in its early literacy grant that required budget adjustments.
Board discussion focused on where SIA and other funding streams would be used in the plan and on the metrics the state will use to review LPGTs (longitudinal performance growth targets). After a motion to approve the integrated guidance application for 2025 through 2027 and a second, the board recorded affirmative votes and the motion passed. The presenter confirmed readiness to submit the approved draft to the Oregon Department of Education for review.
