Tony presented the Montessori Learning Center annual report to the board, saying the program completed its 11th year and ended the school year with 69 students and a projected near-capacity of 71 for next year.
"We had a 96.1% rate this year, which is above what the state average and our district goal was," Tony said, describing attendance as a district goal that the Montessori site exceeded. Tony also told the board the school met its math proficiency goal (90% proficient or advanced against an 80% target) and that staff adopted the UFLI science-of-reading program; administrators said parent survey respondents (a subset) reported high satisfaction with school communications and resources.
Administrators summarized curriculum changes including revised, more parent-friendly report cards and staff training in foundational literacy approaches. They said family engagement and outreach remain a core component of the Montessori Learning Center's approach going into the next school year.
