The Oak Park Municipal Advisory Council approved a draft list of 2024 achievements prepared by Vice Chair Michelle Santucci. JL moved to approve the document; Seema seconded and the Council adopted the achievements for publication in the newsletter and on the MAC website.
Members then reviewed the draft 2025 work plan, with repeated emphasis on an evacuation plan and wildfire preparedness. Councilmember JL said evacuation planning is "close to his heart" and urged it begin in January. Residents and MAC members suggested combining landscape and disaster response work, pursuing native/drought-tolerant planting, and broadening community representation on committees.
The Council set the work plan for final consideration when the new MAC board convenes in January 2025 and agreed to include landscape and crossing-guard funding in the February budget discussion.
