During public comment and board updates, commissioners said they are seeking an electrician and working with Lincoln Electric to plan repairs to power lines at the county fairgrounds.
A participant in Eureka told the board that the outage at the fairgrounds "could have been a very devastating situation," and urged the county to avoid a repeat. Commissioners said they were developing a plan to repair and possibly place the lines underground alongside planned sewer work and that proposals will be brought back to the board and to Lincoln Electric for planning and cost estimates.
