Police and fire report May activity; town plans traffic support for July 4

The volunteer fire department reported 23 calls in May, including four fire calls, five medical runs, two trees down and three power-line issues. "For the month of May, we had a total of 23 calls," the fire representative said, and noted volunteers contributed about 77.5 hours to response activities. The department said it would coordinate traffic-control support for July 4 and is planning extra staffing from neighboring departments for the event.
Both reports were accepted as routine updates. Councilors and staff discussed planned traffic control and parade logistics so the departments can support community events safely.
