Council approves adjusted landscape maintenance rates for Town Hall and The Preserve

Council reviewed a proposal from Tom Lisi doing business as Casa Mia for landscape maintenance at Town Hall and The Preserve. Casa Mia requested $4,200 annually ($350/month) for Town Hall and $9,000 annually ($750/month) for The Preserve. Council noted sufficient budget exists for the Town Hall contract but not for The Preserve; $8,000 had been budgeted for The Preserve.
Council Member Alexandra Powell-Sardinas moved to counter the Preserve proposal to $650 per month and accept the Town Hall proposal at $350 per month through Dec. 31 with a review in January for the remainder of the fiscal year. Council Member Kathleen Hoock seconded the motion and it passed 4–0 with Council Member Tyson absent. The council indicated funds are available for the Town Hall amount but that the Preserve allocation will require budget monitoring or adjustment.
