Council OKs vacation of utility easement to allow Jackson's gas station expansion

Development Services Director Jill Spencer presented a proposal to vacate a public utility easement within Lot 2 of the Henline Plat B subdivision so Jackson’s gas station can expand its store footprint, add more fuel pumps and rework ingress and egress.

After discussion — including Councilmember Bob Provstgaard raising concerns about whether the design would accommodate large semi‑vehicles and future ingress/egress needs during site development — the council voted to approve the ordinance. The roll call recorded Brian Hulet, Anne Moss, Bob Provstgaard and Lacee Smith as voting yes; Ryan Rowley was absent.
