Lincoln County opens bids for Eureka and Libby airport pavement and access projects

At the March 25 meeting the board opened bids for airport pavement maintenance projects in Eureka and Libby and a Libby airport access‑road rehabilitation project. Bidders included Highlight Airfield Services, CR Contracting, Road Products LLC, Excavate LLC, Noble Excavating and Thompson Contracting. County staff read schedule and dollar amounts into the record and said the engineering firm will review the submissions.
Sample schedule amounts read aloud included Highlight Airfield Services (Eureka schedule one maintenance and repair: $238,601) and CR Contracting (Libby schedule one: $231,231); Road Products LLC, Hard Drives Construction and others also submitted bids for various schedules and alternates. The board noted that engineers will check completeness and bonding documents and will return recommendations at a later date.
No contract awards were made at the meeting; staff boxed the bids for delivery to the engineer and discussed timelines for review and announcing results. The board expects the engineer's review to be available by the April 1 schedule item announced at the meeting.
