At 10:30 a.m. the board opened non‑agenda public comment. Jonathan Jameson of 1414 Utah Avenue addressed commissioners and said local leaders should speak up against what he characterized as lies coming from Washington, D.C. He identified himself as a Democratic precinct representative for Precinct 9 and described disturbing video evidence he said contradicted official accounts of an officer‑involved shooting.
"I represent the Democrat party and precinct 9... I'm asking for our leadership to speak up because they're lying," Jameson said. He said the material was difficult to explain to younger family members and urged Republican, independent and other local leaders to denounce the misinformation he described. Commissioners listened but did not respond with action during the public‑comment period.
The comment was filed during general public comment; no follow‑up action was taken on the record.
