Board approves $231,575 pay application and two change orders for water treatment plant

Project engineer Ryan Baru presented the latest contractor pay applications and recommended payment. “This pay application is in total $231,575.02,” he said, describing work on internals of the water treatment plant and delivery of a new generator to the site.
Council discussed two change orders on Division A: $20,580 for exterior painting and $14,646 for roof access including a fall‑arrest ladder. Baru noted a remaining project contingency of about $160,000 and said Division B is running roughly $100,000 under budget overall. After questions about ladder security and caging, the board moved, seconded and approved the pay application and both change orders.
The board also approved Division B pay application number 9 for $185,266.56 covering finishing work on James Street and several water service restorations. Staff said the contractor will present supplemental quotes for additional work at a future meeting.
