"We put out an RFQ...we negotiated with Evson and it didn't make it back to the board for approval," a county staff member said during the presentation. A commissioner moved to approve the contract, the motion was seconded and the board voted to finalize the agreement so the county has a signed contract on record.
The staff presentation said the contract reduces the retainer rate and that Evson Engineering has already been used by the county during the past year under an informal arrangement. Commissioners discussed the administrative lapse that left the agreement unsigned and directed staff to obtain and file the signed copy. No public comment was offered on the contract.
The action resolves a paperwork gap staff identified while preparing documentation for storm‑related damage claims and establishes a formal authorization for Evson Engineering to provide engineering services to Lincoln County going forward.
