A commissioner said, "I would like to have the animal shelter present when we do this," and commissioners agreed to approve the payment and follow up with a meeting so staff can discuss coordination and advance notice for future clinics. The board moved, seconded and carried the payment by voice vote.
Commissioners noted the value of coordinating clinics with other nearby events to increase county participation and asked county staff to contact the shelter and report back on coordination and outreach steps.
