Bridgewater revises CPC application form and web submission process to simplify project proposals

Bridgewater town staff on Wednesday previewed an updated online application form for Community Preservation Committee projects that is designed to be easier for applicants and for committee review.
Staff said IT removed short text limits and reworked the form so long narrative entries print cleanly, introduced required fields so incomplete applications cannot be submitted, and cut redundancy from the prior 14-page PDF. Staff noted at least one application (the hand pumper) had already come through successfully on the new platform.
Town staff invited committee members to test the form and to email suggestions for further edits. The new workflow routes applications to staff for review and allows the CPC to require certain supporting documents at submission. Members thanked staff and IT for streamlining the process and asked to be kept in the loop during adjustments.
