Presenter recited a Division C base bid of $369,000 to Wheeling Brothers and noted the secondary lagoon dredging alternate priced at $180,000 was attractive but recommended deferring it to preserve contingency. "The Lagoon's Dredging, secondary Lagoon NA1 number of $180,000. Awesome. That's a really good number," the Presenter said, but added that taking it now would reduce contingency too far. The council moved, seconded, and approved the contingent award by voice vote.
Staff will prepare contingent notice-of-award paperwork and wait for legal review and the closing of funds before executing contracts or issuing notices to proceed.
