Presenter named Maddox Industrial Contractors as the apparent low bidder and recited the base bid of $2,214,250 and mandatory alternate 1 for $493,000. "The total base bid for that project is $2,214,250 and no cents," the Presenter said. The Presenter recommended not selecting other alternates (North Grinder upgrades and three-phase electrical service) to preserve contingency.
A motion to approve the contingent award was made, seconded, and approved by voice vote. Staff will hold final contract execution until legal review completes and the funding closes.
