Payson parks and cemetery staff report: Gladstan reopened, cemetery sexton introduced

Parks & Golf Director Tracy Zobell reported that Gladstan golf course has reopened and will remain open as weather permits; park irrigation will begin near the temple and parks staff will repaint restrooms and the cemetery office. Zobell introduced Derek Weight, who has taken the position of Cemetery Sexton; Derek attended the meeting with his wife and son and said he looks forward to serving the community in that role.
Zobell also said trees that fell during a recent storm have been replaced and that the parks department will begin cutting wood for the upcoming Salmon Supper event. The council and staff thanked the parks crew for recent cleanup and maintenance work; no formal action was taken during the meeting.
