City manager: wastewater plan extension requested; city awaiting confirmation

Tyler, the city manager, told the council staff had submitted an extension request for the wastewater facility plan and had answered clarifying questions sent by the reviewing authority. "We responded to those requests, but we have not heard back officially on whether or not that extension has been granted," he said.
Council members signaled concern that the city could be out of compliance if the extension is not granted by month-end and discussed the possibility of calling a special council meeting if necessary. Tyler said he is operating under the assumption an extension will be granted and committed to passing confirmed information to council as soon as it arrives.
