Public Works supervisor Matthew Daley updated the council on project progress and upcoming solicitations, saying the Hillcrest water-main project achieved substantial completion on June 23 and crews are working through remaining punch-list items and landscaping restoration. "Substantial completion reached on June 23," Daley said, and noted crews will continue cleanup and restoration.
Daley said a change order for Well 9 modified the drilling method to address sloughing and debris, allowing crews to resume drilling next week with an expected finish next month. He also listed upcoming bid openings: the Orchard Avenue project at City Hall and the wastewater treatment plant and Civic Center bids later in the month, and said construction authorization paperwork is progressing with the state for resurfacing and intersection projects. Daley highlighted GIS work that has mapped meter boxes and said the city is expanding mapping to water, stormwater and sewer assets to improve utility management.
