Election staff presented statutory requirements and recommended a slate of citizens to serve on the post-primary election audit committee; the board approved the recommendation and confirmed the audit date.
“The post-election audit for the 2026 primary election will be taking place on June 12th ... pursuant to MCA 13-17-504,” the election administrator said, describing required committee composition, disqualifying prior election judges and vendors, and noting the administrator serves as secretary to the committee. The administrator presented five recommended members and one alternate; the commission moved, seconded and approved the appointments.
Commissioners recorded no public opposition during the meeting; the audit committee will take the official oath before beginning service as required under state law.
