"It provides roughly $3 million of our annual budget," a commissioner said during the discussion, urging outreach to Representative Downing and Representative Zinci to push the measure forward in Congress.
Commissioners directed staff to obtain the coalition’s recommended format and to prepare the letter for the board’s signature. The chair said the county would resend the format and proceed with drafting the support letter; commissioners indicated unanimous preliminary support to move forward.
