The Dallas County Board voted July 7 to approve a pay application for work on the courthouse renovation as crews proceed with shoring removal and interior finishes.
Contractor representatives reported irrigation and waterproofing repairs are complete, sod installation was planned following a heat wave, and interior work — including ceiling grid, heat pumps, carpentry, marble countertops and flooring — is progressing. On level three, structural reinforcement is complete and crews are removing shoring so wall framing can resume.
Farnsworth Group recommended approval of Turner Construction pay application number 15 for work through June 30, 2026 and reported remaining allowance and contingency balances; the board approved the pay application by voice vote. County staff said remaining contingency and allowance funds will be reconciled and returned if unspent.
