Pleasant Grove City Council approved three intergovernmental and developer agreements on June 2 aimed at public-safety response, traffic signal technology and local drainage improvements.
Resolution 2026-027 authorizes the mayor to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Utah Division of Forestry, Fire, and State Lands for compensation when Pleasant Grove responds to wildland fires outside the city. Resolution 2026-028 authorizes a cooperative agreement with the Utah Department of Transportation to install a connected-vehicle system at six city-owned intersections and assist with onboard equipment for up to eight vehicles by mutual agreement; Fire Chief Drew Engemann noted devices can be transferred between vehicles. Resolution 2026-029 authorizes a reimbursement agreement with Valley Grove Phase VII, LLC for storm-drain infrastructure work related to the Valley Grove Flex VII development at North County Boulevard and 1300 West; the developer will front costs and the city will reimburse as described in the agreement. All three motions passed unanimously.
