The board adopted Resolution 2026‑09 designating polling places for precincts in Eureka, Troy and Libby and establishing secure ballot drop kiosks for absentee ballots, including 24/7 kiosks at the Libby Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Troy Police Department lobby, and Eureka dispatch. The county also designated the Lincoln County Election Office as the official place of deposit as permitted by state law.
During the first reading, election office staffer Melanie asked for an address correction: the election office address in the resolution should read 418 Mineral Avenue (not 415 Mineral). The commission agreed to make the change before recording the resolution. The resolution also added language that the drop kiosks would be closed on election day and listed the locations and precinct assignments included in the resolution.
The resolution directs staff to enter the record in the minutes and to make the corrected address change; the board then adopted the resolution by voice vote and adjourned.
