Commissioners and staff asked the park board to remove a paragraph tying the levy to a concurrent bond issue; they also asked staff member Melody to help reformat the ballot language to reflect the new statutory language. "The new statute...specifically says that it has to be the specific amount of money to be raised versus doing it in the mill levy," a staff member explained. The board asked the park board to return a clean draft by the end of the month so a resolution authorizing placement on the ballot can be prepared and routed through legal review.
