The Pleasant View City Council on May 26 adopted Resolution 2026-M to amend the 2025–2026 fiscal year budgets and fund the completion of the Decant Facility project. The council approved a transfer of $1,050,000 to the Storm Sewer Fund, comprising $350,000 from the General Fund and $700,000 from the Equipment Fund. Laurie Hellstrom reviewed the changes and answered council questions about service levels and program funding.

Council approved an increase of $25,775 in the Solid Waste Fund for the purchase of garbage containers from Schaefer, and approved increasing the General Fund legislative budget by $21,000 to codify and update municipal codes. The motion to adopt the resolution passed 3-0.
Additionally, the council set a Truth in Taxation public hearing for Aug. 4, 2026 at 6:00 PM (with August 18 and 25 as alternatives) and approved the procurement of garbage containers on a separate motion passed 3-0.
