The Inyo County Board of Education on Nov. 14 approved two business items related to ICOE fleet management: authorization to purchase new fleet vehicles and declaration of selected vehicles as surplus to be sold via sealed bids. Jessica Tex moved to approve the purchase and George Lozito seconded; the motion carried 5-0. David Hefner moved to declare specific vehicles surplus and to sell them via sealed bids, seconded by Joe Profita; that motion also carried 5-0.
The minutes record the motions and unanimous votes but do not list vehicle makes, model years, or dollar amounts. The actions authorize ICOE business staff to proceed with procurement and to begin the surplus-bid process in accordance with district policy. The board’s approvals were recorded as formal minutes actions and will be implemented by ICOE administrative staff.
