The Inyo County Board of Education unanimously reappointed its leadership during the board’s Dec. 12, 2024 meeting. Chris Langley will continue as board president; David Hefner will continue as vice president; and Joe Profita will continue as clerk. The motion to reappoint officers passed by a 4-0 vote.
Trustee David Hefner nominated Chris Langley to remain president and Trustee George Lozito nominated Hefner and Profita to continue in their respective roles. The board recorded no dissenting votes; Trustee Jessica Tex was absent and noted as to be sworn in later in Superintendent Barry D. Simpson’s office. The action followed the formal reorganization item on the agenda and concludes the board’s officer elections for this term.
