Big Valley Area Council approves minutes, highlights volunteer needs and community updates

The Big Valley Area Council opened its meeting on Jan. 14 and approved the minutes from the Dec. 10 session, Chair Rick White announced; he also noted Vice-Chair Mark Lipps would be absent and encouraged candidates to apply for two open council seats.
White said the council "encourages candidates" to fill the vacancies and completed a roll call that recorded Rick White, Sydney Giberson and Arnaud Hubert as present. The meeting included updates from county supervisors on volunteer opportunities, environmental data additions and public-safety staffing changes; the meeting adjourned after public outreach presentations.
