Supervisor Crandell provided several county updates: a delinquent tax sale scheduled for March 31; ongoing meetings of a Rent Stabilization Committee with the supervisor seeking a strong ordinance; passage of midyear county budgets and active work seeking grants for lake projects. He said the Board directed staff to hire a consultant to review the Community Development Department’s budget shortfalls, loan repayment schedule and operations in Planning, Code Enforcement and Building. Crandell said there was no update on the Potter Valley project.
ERTH also noted election timing for the District 3 Supervisor seat: three candidates (Supervisor Crandell, Julia Carrera and Danielle Santopietro) with vote-by-mail ballots mailed May 4, the last day to register May 18, and the election on June 2.
