Local nonprofits detail events, meals and volunteer needs at ERTH meeting

At the Feb. 4 ERTH meeting, Karey Karkoska summarized activities of the Clearlake Oaks/Glenhaven Business Association (CLOGBA), founded in 1978 and currently reporting 51 members who support local events such as the Catfish Derby (May 15–17) and scholarships for students. Karkoska encouraged membership growth and noted monthly meetings at the Moose Lodge.
Dan Hobbs, Executive Director of the Live Oak Senior Center, described services and operations: the center serves roughly 26,000 meals per year (about 60% via Meals on Wheels), offers sit-down lunches Monday–Friday with a suggested $5 donation, and provides referrals and some on-site assistance; the center is marking its 45th anniversary this month and seeks grants and volunteers.
