The Clean Water Management Council voted Nov. 20 to advance the 2025 Stormwater Resources Plan, prepared by MC Engineering, to city councils and the Lake County Board of Supervisors for adoption. Kylie Peacock, Clearlake stormwater representative, said the plan lists about 17 projects and would preserve eligibility for state grant programs that could bring millions of dollars in funding.
Peacock told the council, "There are about 17 projects listed in the plan." The council approved a motion to forward the plan for formal adoption and state review; adoption by local jurisdictions and subsequent review by the State Water Resources Control Board are required before Lake County jurisdictions can participate in certain Board grant programs. The council's action establishes the plan as an administrative strategy to protect future grant eligibility.
