The Kimball City Council on Feb. 2 approved the 2025 annual report for the Kimball library and accepted Mayor Gough’s appointment of Alexa Kapp to fill an open seat on the library board. The appointment was approved on a motion by Matt Bilben, seconded by Dayle Blasius.
Council also authorized advertising to hire a pool manager, lifeguards and a lessons teacher (WSI instructor) in advance of the pool season. The motions to approve the library report and to advertise for pool staffing passed unanimously. The minutes do not record additional operational details such as compensation, application deadlines or the library board term length for the appointed seat; those details are expected to be handled by staff and board procedures.
