Chair Heidi Toia introduced a recommended tree inventory presented by committee member Vern Fridley and the group agreed to make the full list available to residents. Vern Fridley said he drafted the list 'as though it was coming from the city,' describing a 64-tree compilation with 32 preferred species highlighted for local yards.
The committee discussed formats for distribution and outreach. City Recorder Callie Bassett proposed posting the list as an attachment on the Shade Tree webpage with the preface text in the page body; she said she would prepare merged files for handouts at city offices. Ryan Johnson suggested keeping the complete list rather than condensing it and linking to the Utah Community Forestry Council's more compact resource as a supplement.
