During the Jan. 5 meeting the council set several procedural items and follow-ups: it set the joint election date for Tuesday, June 2, 2026, and scheduled a second January meeting for Jan. 19 at 7:30 p.m. Motion by Blasius, second by Stellwag to set the joint election date carried unanimously.
Council also tabled the 2026 chip seal item (motion by Janish, second by Bilben) and tabled the I-90 lights agenda item pending further information. Staff were directed to follow up with Northwestern Energy on additional street-lighting options along Truck Street. Mayor Gough announced a legislative cracker barrel event at the fire station on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 10 a.m. No formal votes on the chip-seal project or lights occurred; both items were postponed for more information.
