River Ridge CDD adopts FY 2024/25 budget and approves special assessments

The River Ridge Community Development District board on Aug. 27 adopted its Fiscal Year 2024/2025 budget (Resolution 2024-07) and a companion resolution imposing special assessments for the year (Resolution 2024-08).
District Manager Chuck Adams told the board the budget included scrivener errors that were corrected before adoption. Mrs. Adams opened a public hearing on the budget; "No affected property owners or members of the public spoke." On a motion by Mr. Blumenthal, seconded by Mr. Twombly, the board adopted Resolution 2024-07 as amended with all in favor.
For Resolution 2024-08, District Counsel Tony Pires recommended a public hearing. No members of the public spoke, and the board amended the resolution to delete references to "Exhibit B" before adopting it on a unanimous vote. Both actions were recorded as approved with four supervisors voting yes (Mountford, Blumenthal, Twombly, Schultz). The board did not receive any oral protests during either hearing.
The board directed staff to incorporate the corrections into the official budget documents. The district's next meeting is scheduled for Sept. 4, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.
