Counsel and staff update board on Corkscrew Road ownership, Town Hall planned

District counsel Tony Pires told the board his opinion about ownership of Corkscrew Road (west of U.S. 41) had not changed after he retrieved supporting documents. Chair Bob Schultz reported the Village of Estero retained Johnson Engineering to inspect streets and walkways to determine repair needs; PSGRC President Neil Collins updated the board on Town Hall discussions, noting a focus on the U.S. 41/Corkscrew Road intersection and that the west side of Corkscrew would be included in the study.
Counsel and the district engineer summarized County and Village positions on ownership and maintenance responsibilities based on review of historical documents and memoranda. Mr. Pires said he will forward contact information for an Apple Signs representative to Mrs. Adams.
