The Rio Rancho Public Schools Board approved several procurement awards at its July 27 meeting to support facilities maintenance and future capital projects.
Chris Tweed, director of purchasing, presented the recommendations. For RFP 2026-022-SDC (door and hardware maintenance and access control on demand) the district received one responsive proposal from DH Pace (Overhead Door Company of Albuquerque) and staff recommended an award. The board approved the recommendation. For the supplemental RFP (2026-022-01 SEC) staff recommended Builders Tech New Mexico LLC and the board approved that award as well.
Facilities also recommended a four-year pool of architectural design vendors (RFP 2026-024) to maintain a roster of firms for future projects; the board approved awards to a list of firms so facilities can select among qualified vendors as projects arise. For routine supplies the board awarded ITB 2026-031 (paint and paint supplies) to Pioneer Ace Hardware; staff said pricing is held for one year because of market volatility. "The RFP presented to you right now is to provide access control, maintenance, and repair projects throughout the district," Tweed said. The motions to award the contracts carried by voice vote.
