Board authorizes RG Architects for gatehouse redesign; $62,500 to be deferred until financing

The River Ridge CDD on Oct. 22 authorized Bowman Consulting to retain RG Architects, P.A. as a subconsultant to redesign two gatehouses and perform related design work for the River Club, Racquet Center and Golf Club complexes. The motion, made by Kurt Blumenthal and seconded by Terry Mountford, carried unanimously.
Board discussion noted the main gate has been struck 12 times this year, that elevations and permits will be required and that the $62,500 design cost would be booked as an up-front deferred cost and invoiced to the district when financing is issued (construction is anticipated to begin in 2026). Eric Long will take the lead on the project and Mr. Blumenthal will serve as Board liaison.
