Squires said the result is noticeably brighter and safer.
Council members asked whether the city sought utility rebate money for the conversion; the mayor said no rebate was pursued. Squires noted the city expected to seek insurance reimbursement for previously damaged fixtures, but the amount of any reimbursement was not specified in the meeting record.
