Planning commission elects Kelso chair, names vice chair

Commissioners also nominated and approved a vice chair after a brief discussion about traditions and adherence to bylaws. Commissioner speakers noted that the commission’s practice of the vice chair succeeding to chair has value but recommended updating bylaws to clarify the process. One commissioner urged that elections follow the written bylaws rather than momentum or precedent.
