"So storm shelters got moved to chapter 3, and they added a new definition," Kimberly said.
The board discussed that the existing local amendment addressing storm shelters would need to be carried forward and moved in the ordinance to match the new chapter numbering. Staff said the amendment remains necessary: "The amendment still is if we're gonna continue to carry it over, it would still need to be an amendment," Kimberly said. The board did not vote on this change and asked staff to include the carried amendment in the draft ordinance for further discussion at the next meeting.
