Public Works staff reported that engineers will be assessing the city's sewer system to begin the initial phase of the Facility Plan. Jason Bauernfeind told the commission that "staff from the engineering firm will be seen throughout the city assessing the sewer system to begin the initial phase of the project."
Bauernfeind also recognized the Police Department and residents for their assistance following a recent accident. City Administrator Robin Lucero praised a young man who "helped extinguish the fire before it could spread further" on the Fourth of July and commended two girls who assisted by gathering water during the incident.
