The Park Rapids City Council on Jan. 13 approved Resolution #2026-14 reassigning councilmembers to city committees and consolidating the Urban Forestry Committee into a newly named Parks, Beautification, and Urban Forestry Committee. City Administrator Weasner said, “no requests were made for change of councilmembers representations.” The motion to approve the reassignments was seconded by Councilmember Christensen and carried unanimously.
Council discussion was limited; the consolidation was presented as an administrative change to streamline oversight of parks and urban forestry functions. No new budget or staffing changes were announced during the action.
