Isleton treasurer reports $280,284.48 across funds, warns balances are under review

Isleton Treasurer Isla Bettencourt told the City Council that the city holds $280,284.48 across several accounts but said the amounts should be treated with caution while accounting issues are resolved.
"The general fund had $31,959.71. The grant funds account had $8,783.86. The LTF account had $7,401.33. The Measure 8 fund had $157,236.10. The sewer fund had $63,350.53. The storm account had $11,552.95," Bettencourt reported. She added, "Please take this with a grain of salt," and said the CPA and the city27s attorneys are working together to correct account balances.
Bettencourt said the reconciliation work is ongoing and that staff and outside advisers are coordinating to update records. The treasurer told the council she hopes the accounts will be on track in the coming months but did not provide a firm completion date.
Council members thanked Bettencourt for the report and asked no further questions at this time. The treasurer27s presentation did not include a formal motion or vote; staff indicated follow-up work by the CPA and attorneys will continue and the council may receive corrected figures in a future meeting.
